Since I take Teddy around with me everywhere, I’ve decided to put together a list of doggy friendly places in Dubai as tried and tested by TEDDY!! If you’re not following Teddy yet, you can follow his adventures on Instagram here:
Teddy is a chocolate and tan miniature dachshund and he loves to go out in Dubai. Please note, that this is not a complete list of doggy friendly places, only the ones that Teddy has been to. As the rules are always changing, please call ahead to check whether dogs are allowed. I will be adding and updating this list as Teddy explores more of Dubai πŸ™‚

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, is Cabin Dubai. Hidden away in Al Barsha is this absolute gem and chances are you’ll most likely find Teddy here on the weekends! The concept is based on the owner’s art studio in the Scottish Highlands and is just the most beautiful art space. I instantly fell in love with Cabin, the moment I stepped into the open terrace. It felt just like home and is place where I could just sit for hours. There is a lot of creative, positive energy, amazing locally sourced coffee, great juices, and delicious wholesome food which caters for everyone. The food is very reasonably priced and changes seasonally. The staff are also super friendly and they all love dogs. The outdoor area is very spacious and Teddy has become a regular here πŸ™‚ This is definitely a favourite (if you can’t tell by now !) I hope you like it as much as we do!

Single Fin is located at the back of Surf House and is named after a a traditional style surf board, “Single Fin”. This cafe is a great little place to visit and the food is very reasonably priced. They have a lot of healthy options and their coffee is amazing! Their aim is to provide surf cuisine which includes acai bowls, poke bowls, tacos and burgers. Basically, food from popular surfing destinations from around the world. I love the fact that they are huge supporters of locally grown companies and source ingredients from local suppliers. There is plenty of outdoor seating and every table has an umbrella for shade. Single Fin oozes a relaxed, laid-back and authentic surfing vibe and is ideal for breakfast or lunch. The staff a super friendly and they all love dogs πŸ™‚ It doesn’t feel like I’m in Dubai when I’m here and reminds me of home in Melbourne. Teddy is often seen giving puppy dog eyes to the chef, in the hopes of getting some bacon πŸ˜‰

Arrows and Sparrows has easily became one of my favourite breakfast spots, especially because of the beautiful colourful and healthy dishes! They also do amazing coffee art (everyone needs to start the day with a bear in their coffee!) and if you’re adventurous, they also serve coffee in a chocolate ice cream cone. It is very pet friendly and there are always dogs sitting outside watching their pawrents drink coffee and eat delicious food πŸ˜‰

If you’re looking for a coffee date, then this is the place to go! Stomping Grounds pride in serving amazing specialty coffee and is perfect for all the coffee lovers out there. The outdoor terrace is very spacious and comfortable to sit in. There are lots of plants and the rustic decor makes the place feel homely. It has a relaxed atmosphere with great ambiance and music. The food is very tasty, and there are great breakfast options. Definitely another dog friendly hidden gem in Dubai!

Beautifully located on the coast of Palm Jumeirah at Club Vista Mare is Aji, a fine dining restaurant serving Nikkei Cuisine – a mix of Peruvian and Japanese food. The unique fusion of the two cuisines is a result of Japanese migration to Peru at the end of the 19th century. I’ve heard many great things about this place and it really didn’t disappoint! The food is excellent, very well executed and beautifully presented. There is a lot of variety on the menu and the dishes are interesting with a bit of a twist! The food is designed for sharing, and is perfect for those looking to have a great time with a group of friends. Amazing atmosphere and spacious outdoor seating areas. Stunning views of the coast and Teddy loved listening to the Live Latin Band. A must try!

Located in the heart of Downtown, Via Veneto is name after one of the most famous streets in Rome and serves fresh Italian Cuisine. The outdoor seating is situated on the Boulevard, just across the road from the Dubai Mall with great views of Burj Khalifa. Yummy Italian food, pasta and pizzas! Teddy has been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and loves watching the people walk by. The staff are very friendly and love dogs. Please note, only small dogs allowed as the outdoor area is quite cozy.

I’m always craving authentic Vietnamese food and this is the place to go! The spring rolls are my favourite and I love how everything is so fresh and delicious! The Pho is also a great choice too, always consistent, very filling and bursting with flavour. I call it a bowl of comfort! This restaurant is not a fancy place but perfect for a light and tasty meal. Good food at a reasonable price and definitely worth a visit. Happy days all round! The outdoor seating area is very spacious, so it would be ok for small, medium and large dogs. Teddy is always hanging around underneath the table, eagerly hoping for a piece chicken to fall down his way :p

Urban Bistro is situated in Dubai Media City and the cafe is designed in a cool, urban chic style. The menu is diverse with many healthy options. Great salads, juices and breakfast items. Nice spot for a lazy weekend breakfast or lunch and the food portions are very generous. There is a large outdoor terrace with beautiful waterfront views of the lake, which is perfect for dogs. Occasionally, about once a month, Urban Bistro do a fantastic puppy brunch which includes food for humans and dogs too! There are also groomers on hand, so it’s a great day out for the whole family! Check the Facebook or Instagram Page @urbandubai for updates. Often, after breakfast or lunch, I like to take Teddy for a walk around the lake before heading home and he loves sniffing around the lake πŸ™‚

Club Vista Mare is generally very dog friendly and dogs are allowed anywhere in the outdoor dining areas. Breeze beach grill is a casual beachside eatery with great views over the water. Just be a bit careful on the weekends, because it can get very crowded and busy. Great atmosphere and perfect for sunset drinks ❀️ Teddy loved watching all the beautiful girls lounging on the sun beds by the beach πŸ˜‚

If you love vegan plant based food and nature, then you will love Life’n One. The beautiful backyard garden transports you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is a great place to bring your dogs. The garden is so beautifully decorated and the dΓ©cor is very raw and natural. It’s peaceful and relaxing from the minute you enter and the cafe serves healthy food, yummy vegan deserts and great smoothies! Teddy loves chilling in the secret garden ❀️

Teddy has been to all 3 Lime Trees and they all have spacious outdoor seating options. Lime Tree Cafe is considered to be a Dubai institution has been welcoming dogs since they opened 16 years ago. They create a welcoming environment for all members of the family, including furry ones πŸ™‚ There are plenty of sandwiches, salads and baked goods available and a great little shop with grocery items, cookbooks and treats! Perfect for a casual breakfast or lunch. Don’t forget to order a slice of their famous Carrot Cake. It is known for being one of the best carrot cakes in Dubai! Just be mindful that there is no table service and food must be ordered inside from the counter. Not recommended for those dining alone with their dogs, because the dogs have to be left alone outside. However, it’s perfect for those who are catching up with their family and friends for a weekend breakfast.

The Irish Village is one of our favourite places to hang out with our friends. It’s perfect for afternoon/evening drinks. Love the chilled vibe, casual atmosphere and live music! Food is typical pub food – fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches, french fries etc. and drinks are reasonably priced. There is a large outdoor seating area, lots of families and just about everyone is welcome – humans and animals! Teddy especially loved watching the ducks swimming in the lake. He certainly thought they looked very tasty! πŸ˜‹
