Guess how long this chocolate cake took to cook?! 2.5 minutes… SAY WHAT?! NO WAY?!
Yep, you heard right! It only took 2.5 minutes to cook in the microwave and it’s a soft, spongy, springy chocolate cake πŸ™‚ I have layered the cake with my delicious raw chocolate mousse. Recipe here
Be creative and layer with a coconut or cashew cream, top with fresh berries and you have a super yummy cake. Trick your friends into believing that you have been baking for hours! πŸ˜‰

Looks beautiful, but I am scared of microwaves and don’t have one. Can I make the cake by baking it, will it still work?

Amazing! Trying this today but is there anything I can use as a substitute for almond meal? I know I can make my own almond meal by grounding up almonds, but would ground walnuts/pecans or PB2 or oat flour work as well?

Made this into 4 cupcakes for a friend as a special treat. Perfect, only cooked them for 1.30mins.

Looks delicious! If you don’t have a microwave, can this be done in an oven? What temp and time duration do you think it would need?

Just made this using flax eggs. Waiting for it to cool to taste, but it is as flat as a pancake. I wonder how you got it to rise so beautifully.

Yeah I, too, dont have/use a microwave. Any ideas on how to create this beautiful creation without one? Also, I’m trying to see what I van use instead of spelt… As I dont eat grains. Coconut flour? More almond flour lol? Idk!!! Ideas?

I just made this as four cupcakes and substituted with LSA meal and wholemeal flour and they turned out great! Topped with a little 70% dark chocolate and fresh raspberries πŸ™‚

The cake looks delicious, can’t wait to try it! Can I substitute the almond meal for coconut flour? Do you think it will work just as well?
