Hi, just wondering if you know of any other topping which would work, as I really want to make this but figs are out of season πŸ™‚

These look amazing! Is it possible to use vanilla extract instead of vanilla bean paste?

I can’t wait to try it. Winter time in the Northwest impossible to find fresh figs. What seasonal fruit would you use instead? Thanks in advance!

saw this on IG and just had to try it. I made a few substitutions; instead of walnuts i used pecans, instead on vanilla bean paste i used vanilla extract and instead of maple syrup i used organic honey. After storing in the freezer overnight i decorated with fresh figs and put into the fridge. The cream texture is perfect and i cant wait for hubby to come home and try this. Thank you secret squirrel πŸ™‚

Richelle, you can make your own. Just buy whole almonds and blend in a food processor until the consistency of fine bread crumbs. Its not as fine as normal flour but is great as a substitute for crumbs on chicken and fish too. πŸ™‚

    Hey there,

I would like to try this delicious-looking desert.
But I do have a question: What are “medjool Dates”?
I sadly cannot find it in the dictionary…
    Best regards, Tina

Looks amazing! Would it be possible to do the cream with anything else? like coconut or almonds? I really want to make this but i have an allergy to Cashews and Walnuts!!
