Get into the kitchen and start baking πŸ˜‰ It’s so sneaky, no-one will suspect it’s HEALTHY!!! Sshhhh… Secret Squirrel xx.

Hey thanks for sharing the recipe!! Going to try it this week πŸ™‚ but I was just wondering, what substitutes almond meal??

  2. Dolly

Made these today and they were absolutely fab! I think next time I will skip the frosting though as it tasted a little too much of avocado and instead add walnuts or maybe salted macadamia to the base batch.
I love your blog! and I would love a (healthy) recipe for chocolate chip cookie vanilla ice cream.. just saying πŸ˜‰
    Love Dolly

Absolutely delicious! My blender decided to give up on me half way through but the mixture was easy enough to combine without (okay, the dates didn’t form a paste but they are absolutely fine). I love the recipe and it was dead easy.. Kuwait is finally starting to stock almond flour and such like which is very exciting. So happy I found your site! Thank you πŸ™‚

Hey! I was wondering if you could possibly substitute almond meal &/or vanilla paste with something eles?

  7. Daph

A total keeper! Made these for a tea party. All my friends love it! Added 2 tbsp of honey instead of 1.5, and I replaced regular almond meal with hazel meal for the extra flavour.

  8. Tamara

Very very good!!! But the flour is still a bit moushi, how can I make it harder? I left it in the oven for an extra 10 min. Thanks!

  9. Keren

Hi, I would like to ask whether there is any substitute for the avocado? can it be substituted by more potato or some bananas?

  10. Jess

AAHHHH! So YUMMY!!! I’ve just discovered secret healthy eating – AND NEVER GONNA LOOK BACK! Unfourtunately my brownie was super thin and a fair bit stuck to the baking paper… Is there a way to stop either of those things? And my frosting was way darker than the one you made in the pictures… How do I make it lighter? Thanks SO MUCH for this recipe!! OMG!

  16. Maleena

  17. Tania

These sound amazing! My son is allergic to nuts and my husband is grain free… Minor baking dilema, does anyone have a suggestion for almond meal????? Please help!

  18. Carolyn

This was a delicious recipe but came out mushy, even though I allocated extra time in the oven to help firm it up. Any idea?
